About the Designer

Layla Gijsen is an Amsterdam-based artist and designer, graduating from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2023. Her work has been exhibited at the Rijksmuseum, Dutch Design Week and OBJECT Rotterdam, among others. With its project Alternative Openings she explores themes of ownership and social dynamics through interactive installations.
